District Governor

Lion District Governor Joe first became a Lion when he joined the Burke Host Lions Club in 1970 and he later joined the Vienna Host Lions Club in 1996. Lion Joe has perfect attendand for 13 years. volpe pic

He served at the club level as President for several terms. At the club level he has also been an active member, serving in other position, including Fundraising, Membership, Hearing and Sight. Lion Joe has received 100% President and President Excellence Award and was named Lion of the year in 1999 and 2005. He is a progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and he served the District as Cabinet Secretary, Zone, Region, Conference, Virginia Lions Hearing Bank Chairs and Vice District Governor. He has been married to the former Lion Nancy Colleary for 46 years.

Lion John Redden

Lion John has been a member of the Spotsylvania Lions Club since 1999. He has served as club Tail Twister, Secretary, Membership Chair (three years) and President. He has served the past five years as the Youth Sight Chair and past three years as the Spring Flower Fling Chair. Lion John served as the Region V, Zone 2 Chair and the Region V Chair. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow. Lion John is a retired Naval Aviator and has been married to Lion Virginia for 25 years.

Lion Gary Maxwell

Lion Gary has been a Lion for fourteen years. Joining the Manassas Host Lions Club in 1993 were he held offices including President in 1998-1999. In 2001 Lion Gary transferred to the Fairfax host Lions Club were he continues his dedication to Lionism by serving on their board of directors, to include a two term treasurer and currently holding the 2VP Office. On the district level Lion Gary has served as the Trading Pin Chair for three years, Region III Extension Chair for two years and has held the the District Treasurer's position in 2004-2005. In 2006 the Fairfax Host Lions Club presented Lion Gary with a Melvin Jones Fellow.

MD 24 Council Chair
Lion Harry Parker

Lion Harry is a member of the Bailey's Cross Roads Host Lions Club with 28 years of perfect attendance. He has been president of his Lions Club two times and held other club offices. Lion Harry is a retired Federal Employee with 32 years of service. He has served as many district committee chairs but most recent as the MD 24 Convention Chair. Lion Harry is married to his wife Karen for 35 years. He is a Lions of Virginia Humanitarian and a Melvin Jones Fellow. CC Harry was elected to the Council Chair position at the MD 24 Convention which was held in Richmond, VA. CC Harry's other interests are cut glass and is President of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter, ACGA.
