Lion Emily joined the Arlington South Lions Club in January, 2002 where she has served as president, Secretary, a Zone Chair and on the District 24-A Cabinet. After joining the Arlington South Lions Club she became involved with the James Bland Memorial Musical Contest and has chaired her club’s largest fund raiser, which is selling Christmas Trees.
She is a Certified Guiding Lion, a graduate of the MD 24 Regional Lions Leadership Institute (2006), completed the Club Excellence Process Training and has participated for 5 years at the Lions Area Medical Project (Lamp). Currently she is District 24-A’s Liaison to the Old Dominion Eye Foundation.
She is a member of the Pin Trading Club of Virginia, which she served on its board of directors and is a member of the Lions International Trading Pin Club.
She has been honored for her Lion’s work with a Melvin Jones Fellowship, a Lions of Virginia Foundation Humanitarian Recognition and a Lions International President’s Leadership Award.
On a more personal note she is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing System Development. A 6 years member of the Executive Committee of the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area. An Administrative Consultant in her own business and manager and co-owner of C. W. Fields Plumbing, Inc.
